JLPT1 is over.
How did everyone else go?
Not sure if I can pass, but I did what I can.
The listening wasn’t too good, unfortunately. I wish I did that part better.
Finished the grammar part really fast and I think it was alrite. But the reading wasn’t too good. I don’t understand that soundscape thing. Agh. The vocab, some are very familiar words, but some are not. Not sure.
It’d be great if I can pass then I can put it in my resume. If not, hmm, not sure if I’m gonna take it again or not. Maybe when the harder exam comes out in 2010. That is if I still feel I’d need a JLPT certificate.
Hmm. So. I might still continue this blog as I’m still learning Japanese. あたしってまだまだだなあ〜
What am I gonna do now is probably do Kanji Odyssey, which I heard good comments of. Try to fix my basic kanji again. And read novels. And manga. And websites. Then if I’m not lazy ANKI them. =d
But yeah, will start on Kanji Odyssey today, and make sure I ANKI them well.

文字・語彙 : 48/90 or 53/100
聴解 : 25/30 or 83/100
読解・文法 : 20/24 (83%), 24/35 (69%) = 148/200
Total: 284/400 or 71%
Decided to skip 2003-2004 and on to 2005. The vocab is a disaster. Argh. But the listening was good again.
[edit] Was worried with the result for reading, as I couldn’t concentrate nor understand well. But it turns out okay. And yes, over the limit time again due to distractions. I’d better concentrate well on the day.
[edit] Barely passed it. I thought I had a good feeling about the grammar at the beginning, but it turns out bad =( But at least I passed this one.

聴解 : 30/35 or 86/100
読解・文法 : 14/23 (61%), 56/72 (78%) = 135/200
Total: 277/400 or 69%
The kanji readings were hard… The vocabs were hard… ;_; I don’t even want to review the answer again… It’s 4 days left… orz

[edit] One question I completely don’t understand. What’s “yure”? Other than that, listening was fine.
[edit] This is the worse reading ever… I wonder why… Will check. *sooobs*

Yay for passing this test! Do I actually have time to finish the rest of the past paper? Well, if I want to. Couldn’t concentrate well just now. So I took more time.

Aghh.. Zetsubou shitaaaa…
Need more studying. I was tricked with the first reading. I got the wrong impression. So I answered wrongly. The correct answers are the othe option that I considered. Agh. I was tricked!
Most importantly is to study more vocabs reading. Maybe my Anki is doing good as I can recognize kanji readings better in the readings section. Let’s see if it does good tomorrow for the 2001 vocab section.
orz. Really, you can see how my vocabs really suck. Why is that??!
[edit] Finished Matome, the kanji part. Ah. So tiring. There must be more than 900 cards in total now. Though there are few duplicates. Maybe will do the vocab exercise from that book after finishing 2001 (in one go I hope) tomorrow. Hm. Will try to finish chapter 2 of Kanzen goi as well.
7 more past exams to go. Though I still can’t find the 2006 one.

Woke up late today. Trying to squeeze in watching anime as many as I can (not necessarily for learning/pleasure purposes). Will probably do bunpou only after this. Needs to finish up 1 exam tomorrow, at least. =(
Went thru Kanzen master goi till 2-2. I want to do the exercises, but I guess that’ll come after I read and put to Anki all the vocabs presented. Still have the grammar CD repeating on my speaker. It drives me nuts, yet I don’t think I recognize all, I only catch very few of them… But I still believe it’ll somehow help.

[edit] Though at the beginning of the test I felt that I could answer the questions smoothly by instinct, towards the end of the first part of bunpou… it failed. ;_;
Hope I’ll still score good for reading tomorrow. It has been 5 concurrent wins against readings. =3
[edit] Distracted again. I really just can’t concentrate on one thing. Now trying back with matome. Actually, the kanji list is pretty good. There’s quite a range. Wonder why I didn’t go with this before. Goi is really more to basic words. I think I need to study the kanji more. Putting in Anki now. Still skipping the exercises. Will do after I finish with the kanji part first (first half of the book). Finished 10 chapters in one go. =_=; There’re 665 cards in Anki now.

Vocab as bad as always. =(
[edit] The listening is cut halfway. I’m not sure how to mark this. Since at the beginning of the second part, I only scored half. =( Assuming what I did is all of the question, I’ll get 16/22 (73%). If assuming I only score half for the second half, I’ll get 22/33 (67%). Let’s just say I got the middle point. So, 70%. Haha.
[edit] I’m so random. Trying to improve my vocabs. Currently going through Kanzen master goi 1-2 and inputting words I dunno to Anki. Currently at 1-3. They grouped the words by themes. Didn’t do the exercises, so went through the first 2 chapters fast. Currently I have these in Anki: Pattern, Gokaku dekiru first half of kanji list, and random vocabs from JLPT, plus now Kanzen goi.
I always cram for exams (of course I’ve studied them before to some extent). But when I’m cramming for Japanese, it just doesn’t seem right.
